GCSE Results Day 2026: Outstanding Achievement at Greater Peterborough UTC

August saw an exceptional set of results from our Class of 2026, and we could not be prouder of every student.
Ten Grade 9s and thirty-two Grade 8s Distinction grades in Engineering Manufacture and Engineering Design*
These results reflect not only academic excellence but also determination, resilience and ambition. From future engineers and scientists to talented creatives and industry-ready technical learners.
Special congratulations to some of our outstanding achievers:
Esther achieved an exceptional breadth of results including Grade 9s in English Lit, English Lang and Media, alongside a Distinction in Engineering and strong STEM grades across Maths and Science.
Ritah secured outstanding Grade 9s in both English Literature and English Language, alongside strong results across a wide range of subjects.
Lucy achieved the remarkable feat of securing Grade 9s in English Literature, English Language and Maths, alongside a Grade 8 in Further Maths and Computer Science.
Genevieve achieved a Grade 9 in Media Studies and strong grades across English, Maths and Science.
Sam Freeman has successfully secured the grades needed to progress to his apprenticeship with Caterpillar as a Mechanical Engineer, an excellent achievement and exciting next step.
Oskar has shown what determination can achieve. Predicted a Grade 3 in Maths, Oskar achieved a Grade 7 and will now progress to A Levels. A powerful reminder that belief and hard work really do change futures.
Irem, one of our dedicated transition students, achieved the required grade in her Maths resit and will now be able to continue her journey studying a T Level with us.
These achievements are about far more than grades. They represent perseverance, personal growth and students exceeding expectations.
